Ned Young (Deceased)

 October 4, 1921---September 26, 1991

Funeral services were September 30,1991, at Colyer Funeral Home for Ned A. Young, 79, of Torrington, WY.  He died September 26 in a Torrington hospital.  The Rev. Dr. Robert Smith officiated.

Young was born October 4, 1921 at Decatur, the son of Fred and Minnie (Anderson) Young.  He graduated from Decatur High School and served in the United States Army during World War II.  After his discharge, he returned to Decatur and worked with his father as a building contractor.

October 30, 1948, he married Lou Page in Lyons and they lived in Decatur.  The couple moved to Torrington in 1954 when he was supervising the building of the Masonic Temple.  Together with Bob Robbins, he operated as Robbins and Young Contracting for a time, and later as Ned A. Young Building Contractor.

Survivors include his wife; daughter, Kay Young of Torrington; four sisters, Mina Warren and Bonnie Otte, both of Blair, Doris Harris of Torrington and Jean Ferguson of Herman; and a granddaughter, Leisha Russ of Denver, CO.
