The 58^th Alumni Banquet ( 50 yr class of 1964)

Coffee hour will be Saturday morning May 24^th at the City Hall Basement from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.,

headed up by Carol (Cooper) Kuhfahl

The 58^th Alumni Banquet ( 50 yr class of 1964) is being held on Sunday, May 25^th at the Green Lantern, in the dining room.

The menu is the same as usual except we can have a full salad bar. I will post the banquet time at a later date. The committee is excited about having it there and I know all of you will be too!

Minutes of 2012 Alumni Meetings:

Decatur alumni members met on Saturday (1/21/12) with a busy agenda. The group voted to sustain all officers for the new year. Remaining in those positions are president Sarah Shook, vice president Lance Anderson, secretary Pam Nelsen and treasurer Peggy Haeffner.

The annual planning for the 56th Alumni Banquet got underway and the event set for Sunday, May 27, will be held entirely at the Decatur Fire Hall. Coffee hour will run 3 to 5 p.m. with dinner served promptly at 5:30 p.m.

Betty's Cafe II will be catering the banquet. This year's menu will be roast beef and fried chicken served with mashed potatoes and gravy. A fruit salad and coleslaw will be the salads and the vegetable green beans. A desert bar will be provided by the alumni committee.

Individuals are urged to get their tickets ($15) as soon as they go on sale so the right amount of meals can be arranged. Tickets ordered to be reserved and picked up banquet night can be paid for by sending a check to Peggy Haeffner at First Nebraska Bank or Pam Nelsen.

In other action the final check was written to pay for the matching wooden cabinet that will hold the composite pictures. It is finished and will be delivered to the city hall shortly. The entire Bulldog display cabinet set up and ready for viewing on the afternoon of the banquet. See pictures of new Trophy Cases

The 50-year class, the class of 1962, will be in charge of the banquet program. If you have any information about members Jimmy Wedgewood, Sharon Frese, Colleen Webster, Margie Wolten, Jimmy Stillman, or David Morris, please contact Pam Nelsen.

A meeting has been scheduled for Saturday morning, Feb. 25th @ 10:00, at the SR. Center. We will continue to discuss the upcoming banquet. ( 50 yr Class of '62) If anyone has questions please contact me. Alumni President, . I urge and welcome any and all Alumni to attend. Hope to see you there.
