Funeral services are Saturday, July 13, 2013, for Terry J. Brewer, 75, at Decatur Town Hall in Decatur, Neb. He died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, in Omaha, Neb., surrounded by his children. Visitation will be held Friday, July 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brewer residence, 450 W. 8th St., Decatur.
Terry was born November 13, 1937, near Macy, Neb., the oldest of ten children born to Henry "Hank" Brewer and Melva Hightree. He was raised on a farm in Thurston County. As a young man Terry was active in sports and developed a passion for hunting, fishing and mushrooming that lasted throughout his life. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1955.

 He travelled around the United States for over forty years working on river crossing pipeline construction. Alaska was the only state he missed. Since his retirement from Pentzien, Terry spent the last eight years in Decatur where he restored two homes. Terry was known for his infectious smile and love of life. In addition to the many sports and outdoor activities, Terry enjoyed spending time with family and friends with good food and drinks.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Hank and Melva Brewer; and brothers, Jerry, Paul, Lowell and Jon.

Terry is survived by his six children, Brad Brewer, Roger Brewer, Robert Brewer, Cindi Provo, Jody Green, and Kris Heilbrun; thirteen grandchildren; great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lonnie, Clark and Ron; and two sisters, Fanchon and Janelle.
Heafey Hoffmann Dworak Cutler are in charge of arrangements.
